We never like to look at the fact that we might be overextended in debt.  I know when I was there I hid from the fact until I could hide no longer.  Don’t make that mistake.  Get control of debt right now even if the first step is just seeing the full big picture of where you are.  Then you can start doing something about it. 

More and more Americans are facing enormous debt. The average college student already has significant credit card debt in addition to any student loans when they graduate from college. As a result, we have become a debtor society.

Many things can happen to a person that may cause them to have bad credit. An extended illness, loss of a job, underemployment and many other factors too numerous to mention can and will inhibit ones ability to pay down their debt.
