In Emergencies The Solar Power Trailer Provides Power

When we have power loss or doing new work at construction sites with no electricity then a real saver is the solar power trailer. It can provide electricity in an emergency. Portable units are placed in full sun and the solar panels provide inexpensive and efficient electricity. The solar power trailer works to provide the emergency power until the power comes back on. A solar power trailer is especially useful when doing construction in remote areas until the solar power system is installed and fully operational.

When people need temporary power in case of emergency or when beginning construction at a site without electricity, a solar power trailer can provide the needed electricity. These portable units can be located just about anywhere the sun shines and when placed in full sun, depending on the size of the unit and its solar panels can provide efficient and cheap electricity. Too many times emergency efforts are hampered due to the lack of electricity, but a solar power trailer can be brought in to fill the gap until power is restored.

Workers at new construction sites often have to depend on portable tools until electricity is connected and many times the tools’ batteries do not last long enough for a full day’s work. A solar power trailer can provided the needed electricity for tools as well as to charge portable batteries. They are also significantly quieter than traditional fuel powered generators and will not disturb the neighbors. A solar power trailer is especially useful when building in remote areas until the solar power system is installed and operational.

During natural disasters there is always a rush to restore power to the grid and many services are at a complete stand still until electricity is restored. By bringing in a solar power trailer refrigeration can be available for medical supplies, water filtration systems can be made operational and communication equipment can be powered to help in the recovery process.

Trailer Goes Where Other Devices Cannot

While portable generators have been used in many areas during a power outage or when the power grid goes down, they may not always be able to reach some locations. While the solar power trailer may be nearly as large as a portable generator, it is not as heavy and has far less moving parts to breakdown. They also do not have to have fuel carted in to keep them up and running.

The heaviest part of any solar power trailer is the storage batteries that are charged throughout the day, providing power when the sun goes down. The solar panels are usually movable, many automatic to follow the sun during the day, maintaining a battery charge to provide electricity.

The inclusion of power converters on a solar power trailer allows the use of traditional appliances and equipment requiring 120-volt alternating current. The battery charge is maintained by a regulator and electricity is stored for after dark or on extremely cloudy days.

Using a solar power trailer during emergencies to provide power has saved the day many times on construction sites. The solar power trailer can also bring refrigeration to help in medical needs during a disaster situation. In a disaster situation rescues can be slowed down due to the lack of electricity. A solar power trailer is lighter with less moving parts that breakdown than a portable generator even though they may be close to the same size. The solar power trailer provides power after dark or on cloudy days from energy stored in batteries.
